Deep Gratitude to a Beautiful Horse
This horse was a magical being! She will be so deeply missed.
A message from her person Amy
We said goodbye to one of the most spectacular, magnificent horses that I have had the privilege and honor of calling my heart horse and partner. Dakota was truly one of a kind. She was larger than life and everyone that knew her, will never forget her. She was the most gentle, loving, caring and giving horses. She was my therapy horse after my hysterectomy and took her job very seriously. I never doubted she wouldn’t take care of me, even when my physical therapists had their doubts about riding. All I had to do was climb aboard and she did the rest. She was only with me for 3 1/2 years, but boy did she teach me ALOT in those few short years. I will deeply, deeply miss her, every day and I am utterly heartbroken. However, she is not in pain anymore and is at peace now, running in belly deep grass, with lots of trees to nap under. Words cannot express my deepest, most sincerest thanks, gratitude and love to Lauren Harmon with Instill Harmony. You have taken such great care of Dakota and given unselfishly over these years to us. This week you gave us a priceless gift, captured in these beautiful photos, created these amazing memories and so much more. There are just not words, my beautiful friend! To Dr. Allen Landes, who helped us with those final moments, my most sincerest thanks for taking such amazing care of Dakota these past years. I also offer my deepest gratitude for making her passing as peaceful as possible. To all those friends and family that emailed, texted, came by and gave me their love and understanding, I am deeply touched by the outpouring of love. To Dakota…Yes, we said goodbye today, but I know we’ll be together again my beautiful, majestic soul horse. I will look forward to that day, my love…run free!💜💜💜💜💜
