*Gratitude*

Life is filled with moments of brilliance and moments that challenge us to our core.  At times the challenges can overwhelm us and if we let them consume us we shift into a mode of just trying to survive. This makes things seem less wondrous and beautiful. When I got injured resulting in a back surgery that altered my life, it was easy to feel sorry for myself. It was easy to focus on the negative but that wouldn’t be a very fulfilling thriving life. What if we could keep sight of the brilliance in our day?  It is the small lovely moments that make a spectacular life. To never forget this, keep awareness of the beauty in life through expressing gratitude for the simple or big moments in each day. Share your gratitude with your loved ones, in a journal, through art or song etc.  Expressing this sentiment connects you with those you share it with on a deeper level and puts that positive energy out in the world.

Each day express your gratitude at least once. Write it down in your journal each day. At the end of the month you will see how much there was to be grateful for in the last month! You can even take it a step further and express it to someone else, doodle it, or let it be expressed through another medium.
