For the expecting Mothers

• Once you have reached your second trimester, Rolfing ® Structural Integration is a successful option to help ease the stress related to your pregnancy by creating a more resilient body.
• One of the most important things is that we can work together to give you more support so that your body can handle the shifts and changes that are taking place.
• In addition to working with you, I also work with your partner in order to teach them skills they can use to support you and the baby.
• In pregnancy we would not be doing series work but if you do happen to get pregnant during your series then we will transition into the appropriate type of work until it is the right time to start series work again. Many women choose Rolfing ® SI during pregnancy because we focus on structural support and balance.

For the Postpartum Mother

• We can start light work as soon as the mother feels ready and then start/resume series work 3-6months after the child is born
• Benefits of doing work after postpartum are to restore strength and resilience, reduce the effects of scaring when and if a C section was performed, and to help give you back your sense of self.

Kids

This work is beneficial for kids and young adults because it can help them develop in a more balanced way, enhance self confidence, increase athleticism, and promote wellness. As your child grows this work can help their tissue adapt to the changes in their bones.

"This morning Anita said "Ms Lauren fixed me up good. My hip doesn't hurt when I do cartwheels." Love it!! Thank you Lauren."

It is important to check with your physician to make sure that Rolfing® SI is appropriate for you during your pregnancy.
